I haven’t always been #theSelfieCoach: the classes, the empowerment, the #selfiebesties. In fact, just a few years ago I was working a photographer working 60+ hours a week who thought she was living the dream of owning a business.

The real truth is that this dream was a lonely nightmare for me.

I CRAVED A COMMUNITY OF WOMEN. A COMMUNITY WHERE WOMEN BUILT EACH OTHER UP INSTEAD OF TORE EACH OTHER DOWN. A PLACE WHERE I COULD GO TO FIND FRIENDSHIP, BEAUTY, SELF ACCEPTANCE, AND LOVE.

But that place didn’t exist.

Instead everywhere I looked I found women who didn’t believe in themselves quite yet. Women comparing themselves to the Instagram and Pinterest versions of people they saw on the internet. Women trying to build businesses by being catty and afraid of other women’s success.

So I decided to do something about it.

I began to post selfie after selfie. I posted self love affirmations, quotes, and uplifting content. In the face of a negative social media feed I became the voice of a change I so desperately wanted other women to feel.

I raised my voice above the crowd, promising that this way was better. This way was full of acceptance and confidence. This was would fill their hearts and minds with positivity and that they too could be a beacon of empowerment.

And so the Selfie Coach community was born. The community that I always wanted to be in is real, and where I lead a pack of women into their own confidence and business dreams.
